Moose's birthday present from Os and me was a chance to go to a swim clinic hosted by Olympic level athletes.
He had a good time. His favorite parts were holding the Olympic medals and getting all the free schwag in the goodie bag.
What stood out to me is that both of these athletes, Kara Lynn Joyce and Chad La Tourette, have reached the top level in their sport and neither of them settled on just swimming until they were in high school.
I feel like there are so many intense parents out there who push their kids in a particular sport, but it seems like if you are a good athlete you can play lots of different sports and have fun for quite a while.
Os and I are most likely not raising any Olympians, but it is nice to know that no decisions have to be made just yet. Wink, wink.
