Skiing - Northstar 2012

This was our first family trip to ski in Tahoe and we had great time at Northstar with a house full of friends.  The snow has been horrible all year, but I always love being near the snow.

The kids on the gondola with hat hair and hot chocolate lips.

The boys were in ski school and, so far, BiggiE seems pretty content on the "magic carpet".  His big skiing exploit (which we have already heard retold numerous times) was him taking a very sharp right hand turn (I'm pretty sure accidently) and skiing right onto the middle of the "magic carpet" and heading back UP the slope.  That must have been a funny sight to see.

Moose is on lifts now and enjoying green runs.  It is so much fun to ski with him.  He doesn't seem very inclined to make turns, but at least he can when he needs to...

Here's our snow bunny.  Don't worry, Jelly Bean, your turn will come soon enough.

Here she is proving her readiness to ski...

We were up at Northstar with our Davis grad school friends.  Here Erin is being Mother Goose to Jelly Bean, Emory and Mitra.

"Make Your Own Sushi" night was a huge success, though our friend Ryan really suffered after the wasabi eating contest.

Sledding!  I love Eliza's expression.

Here comes BiggiE.

Moose got a nice twisty ride.

All the crazy kids - ages 1-11
